Panache Quilt (and Scrap Giveaway)

Things around here have been busy. Not with sewing busy-ness, just life busy-ness, and it has been good but it meant that this quilt took FOREVER.

Panache Quilt

The fabric (Panache by Rebecca Bryan) came in the November Culcita Box. The collection has great basics that could be easily mixed and matched with other collections.

I decided to do some fairly simple squares and combine the fabric with a black and white solid.

For the quilting, I decided to do my usual: "organic," randomly spaced lined that are fairly close together.

I originally planned to make the quilt baby-size, but I had more fabric leftover so I decided to keep going. Then I ran out of sashing fabric, and had to buy more.

And then I decided to buy some Panache fabric for the backing and the binding, which also had to be ordered. You can see why this quilt took me for a while. I did my normal big stitch binding on the quilt.

I did do a little something different with this quilt: a label!  I will post more about my thoughts once I have had a little more time to try them out.

  40. Too much power is never a problem. Too little power can cause the saw to bind, slow down and even stop in the middle of a cut. This is not good, nor is it safe.https://simplehandyman.co.uk/best-table-saw-uk-reviews/
