Ed Emberley Chevron Quilt

I worked on finishing up yet another baby quilt over the last couple days.  This one is for a baby boy that was born last week; I had to wait to make it because his parents didn't want to find out in advance if they were having a boy or a girl and I don't particularly enjoy making gender neutral quilts.

A couple years ago I made this quilt for my son using Ed Emberley fabrics.  Ever since the scraps have been calling my name.  The pieces that I had were pretty small so I cut them into 3.5" squares, added the new Picture Pie fox print, and then added various coordinating print.

The inspiration for this quilt was Anna Maria Horner's beautiful Color Dive quilt. I fell in love with it when I saw the pictures from Quilt Market and have been wanting to make something similar.

The backing is an Ann Kelle Remix print, which is such a great green, and the binding is Kona charcoal.

Finished size: 37" x 40"

You can still find Ed Emberley prints available:
I saw on Instagram that they are reprinting some of the older Ed Emberley prints so I will definitely need to get some more of the dragons :) Also, if you are on Instagram come find me, my username is ericajackman.
